My body of work is diverse in function but uniform in its intent: to communicate. As a designer and illustrator, I am enamored with all things unexpected. A little mischief, a guiding hand, a story. These are things about design that keep me coming back to do more work. I like to listen to the problem and carefully carve out the solution, attend to every piece, then send it back out into the world. I love the aspiration of the design process, and being able to use my creative skill to strengthen an idea until it can thrive wherever it ends up.
While my personal process is rigorous and branching, working with others inspires me in ways I never anticipate. I can’t turn away from a design challenge, and a team to work with makes the process far more exciting. In particular, I’m drawn to print design and things that live in three-dimensional space. The tangibility of print work adds layers to the user experience and exists outside the jungle of web spaces.
